Online Loans in Armenia in 2026: Which Banks and MFOs Offer Them and on What Terms

An online loan can be arranged in minutes, but speed says nothing about its cost. Compare offers for the same amount and term using APR, the monthly payment, and the total repayment. The lowest published rate does not guarantee that a particular bank will offer you the best terms after scoring.
This guide separately examines fully remote cash loans, purchase limits, and products where only the application or automated decision is completed online. The distinction matters: an installment plan at a partner merchant and a cash loan serve different purposes.
AFM Quick Take
There is no universal winner: first filter products by amount, term, and disbursement method, then compare personalized APRs and total repayment.
The terms below were verified on the lenders’ official websites and are current as of July 22, 2026. The rate may change after your application is reviewed, so check the final loan terms before applying.
What Actually Qualifies as an Online Loan in Armenia
An online loan is a method of arranging credit, not a separate legal type of loan. In a fully remote process, the customer applies through an app or website, completes identification, receives a decision, signs the agreement electronically, and receives the funds in an account or on a card without visiting a branch.
In practice, the word “online” can refer to three different products:
- Fully remote loan — the application, agreement, and disbursement are completed online.
- Pre-approved limit in an app — usually available to customers whom the bank has already identified.
- Online application — the decision is automated, but the customer must visit a branch to sign the agreement or receive the funds.
The term “microloan” is generally used for a small loan, but the name alone says nothing about its cost or disbursement speed. In the Central Bank of Armenia’s official terminology, these lenders are credit organizations, including universal credit organizations (UCOs). Before applying, check the company in the Central Bank of Armenia’s registry.
Nominal Interest Rate vs. APR: What to Compare
The nominal interest rate is used to calculate interest on the outstanding balance. APR, or annual percentage rate, includes the mandatory expenses that the law treats as part of the total cost of credit. APR is therefore appropriate for an initial comparison, while your personalized payment schedule and total repayment show the final cost.
For example, VTB Bank (Armenia) publishes a nominal rate of 15.5–18%, but a monthly servicing fee equal to 0.15% of the original loan amount raises the APR to 18.51–23.9%. The difference is far more with CashMe: a nominal rate of 0% becomes an APR of 447–460%. Penalties for future late payment are generally excluded from APR because they arise only if the agreement is breached.
You can compare online loans on AFM.am. The page brings together offers from different banks, showing the available amounts, terms, and APRs. You can also narrow down the options, estimate the monthly payment, and proceed to an application. This makes it easier to identify the most competitive options for the amount and term you need, although the final rate and limit depend on the bank’s scoring decision.
Banks That Disburse Funds Remotely
The table covers unsecured cash loans for which lenders officially state that the application is submitted remotely and the funds are disbursed to an account or card. Purchase limits and products requiring an office visit are covered separately. The ranges reflect scoring: neither the maximum amount nor the minimum rate is guaranteed.
| Bank and product | Amount / term | Rates | Channel and key detail |
| Byblos Bank Armenia — Online Loan | AMD 400,000–10 million; 12–48 months | Nominal rate: 14.5%; APR: 15.41–15.63% | Byblos Mobile; funds are credited to the account with no fee. This is the lowest published APR range in the comparison, although scoring may result in a higher rate. |
| Inecobank — 1 CLICK | AMD 100,000–18 million; 24–60 months | Nominal rate: 15–21%; APR: 15.8–23% | InecoMobile/InecoOnline: 24, 36, 48 or 60 months; Sprint: 48 or 60 months. Immediate decision, with disbursement in up to 5 minutes. |
| AMIO Bank — online loan | AMD 100,000–15 million; 12–60 months | Nominal rate: 16–21%; APR: 17.23–23.25% | Mobile app; disbursement within 1 minute after approval. No application, disbursement or servicing fee; available only to Armenian residents. |
| Armeconombank — Online Loan | AMD 100,000–5 million; 18–36 months | Nominal rate: 16.5–21.5%; APR: 17.81–23.75% | AEB Mobile; decision in up to 5 minutes, with cashless disbursement. |
| VTB Bank (Armenia) — Online Loan | AMD 100,000–10 million; 6–60 months | Nominal rate: 15.5–18%; APR: 18.51–23.9% | Online platform; up to 15 minutes. The monthly servicing fee is 0.15% of the original loan amount, so the APR is especially important. |
| Evocabank — Action | AMD 310,000–10 million; 24–60 months | Nominal rate: 18–21.5%; APR: 19.58–23.79% | EvocaTOUCH; decision in seconds and disbursement within 1 business day; no fees. |
| Acba Bank — online unsecured loan | AMD 50,000–10 million; 48 or 60 months | Nominal rate: 19.9%; payroll customers: 18.9–19.9%; APR: 20.64–21.83% | acba digital; no fee. The online term is 48 months for amounts up to AMD 2 million and 60 months for amounts from AMD 2 million to AMD 10 million. |
| IDBank — Rocket loan / credit line | AMD 100,000–10 million; loan: 12–60 months; credit line: 18–60 months | Loan: 19.9–21.7%, APR 21.82–23.99%; credit line: 19–21%, APR 20.89–23.34% | IDBanking or Idram&IDBank; up to 5 minutes. The loan can be used for any purpose; cash-withdrawal fees on the credit line depend on the card tariff. |
The APRs shown are based on published ranges. Compare the same amount and term first, followed by the monthly payment and total repayment.
How to Compare Offers for Your Situation
- If you need AMD 400,000–10 million for 12–48 months, include Byblos on your shortlist. It has the lowest base APR range in the table and charges no fee, but the rate, limit, and approval depend on scoring.
- If you need AMD 100,000–399,999 or more than AMD 10 million, check Inecobank and AMIO. Inecobank offers up to AMD 18 million and AMIO up to AMD 15 million. The minimum term for 1 CLICK is 24 months in InecoMobile/InecoOnline and 48 months in Sprint, so the product is not suitable for every short-term need.
- If you need at least AMD 50,000, Acba is one of the confirmed fully remote bank options in this comparison. For amounts up to AMD 2 million, the online term is 48 months, so be sure to assess the total overpayment.
- For a purchase from a partner merchant, check IDBank Rocket Line. The interest rate and APR may be 0% when the merchant and term qualify for the offer. This is a cashless purchase limit, not a cash loan.
This is a comparison of terms, not a bank reliability ranking. Make your final choice based on your personalized APR, monthly payment, total repayment, and account or card fees.
Credit Organizations and Special Online Products
Global Credit CashMe. AMD 20,000–900,000 for 12 or 18 months. Up to AMD 160,000: nominal rate 0%, APR 447–460% because of a daily fee equal to 0.5% of the outstanding balance. Above AMD 160,000: interest rate 1–16%, APR 40–117%. If a bank alternative with a lower APR is available, compare it first.
Global Credit PayLater. Up to AMD 2 million for three months at a nominal rate and APR of 0% through partner merchants and Telcell Wallet. The page lists a penalty of 0.13% per day on overdue principal and interest and, separately, compensation of AMD 5,000 for a delay of up to three days; CashMe terms apply thereafter. The published terms do not clarify whether the penalty and interest are charged at the same time, so confirm this with the lender before applying.
FINCA Mobile Tetev Cash. AMD 50,000–1 million for new customers and up to AMD 2 million for existing customers; term 6–36 months, interest rate 15%, APR 37.59–39.30%, and a monthly servicing fee of 1.5%. The page promises a branch-free process while also requiring a branch visit for identification and access activation. Confirm the application process with FINCA.
Farm Credit Armenia Online Consumer Loan. AMD 100,000–600,000, interest rate 19.9%, APR 48.77%. This is a POS loan: the agreement is signed in the app at the point of sale, and the funds are transferred to the seller. The summary section states a term of 12–36 months, while the detailed section states up to 9 or 36 months depending on the purpose. The product is not included in the recommendations until the lender clarifies the term.
Borrower Requirements and Credit Scoring
Applicants generally need an identity document, a public services number or social security card, an Armenian phone number, an email address, and an account. Byblos requires applicants to be residents, remain aged 21–63 throughout the loan term, and meet its income and employment-history requirements. AMIO accepts residents aged 21–65 on the application date who will be no older than 68 at maturity. VTB requires Armenian citizenship.
“No income certificate required” does not mean “income is not checked”: scoring considers account inflows, debts, and ACRA data. ACRA’s FICO Score ranges from 300 to 850: payment history accounts for 35%, amounts owed for 30%, length of credit history for 15%, and new credit and credit mix for 10% each. Checking your own report does not affect your score.
An ACRA report shows inquiries made in the past 30 days and the past year. These may affect a lender’s internal assessment: Converse may decline an application if there have been 10 or more ACRA inquiries within one week.
How to Apply for an Online Loan
- Determine the exact amount. Do not borrow the full available limit “just in case.”
- Set a payment ceiling. After making the payment, you should still have a buffer for essential expenses and unexpected events.
- Check your ACRA report. It is better to correct an error in your credit history before applying.
- Compare the same amount and term. Review your personalized APR, total repayment, and fees for the account, card, transfer, and cash withdrawal.
- Start with one or two of the most suitable products. Applying widely creates additional inquiries and does not automatically improve your chances.
- Complete identity verification. A new customer may need to scan an identity document, complete a facial check, and verify a phone number.
- Read your individual key terms sheet. Save the agreement and payment schedule, then set up automatic payments or a reminder.
Practical Example
AMIO provides an official example: AMD 1 million for 24 months, a nominal rate of 16%, APR of 17.2%, and a monthly annuity payment of AMD 48,963. Simple multiplication gives a total repayment of AMD 1,175,112 over 24 months, meaning an estimated overpayment of AMD 175,112.
This is an illustration, not a personalized calculation: the actual APR and payment schedule depend on the disbursement date, term, approved rate, and mandatory services. Use the AFM loan calculator for an initial estimate, but rely only on the bank’s payment schedule before signing.
Who Should Consider an Online Loan—and When to Avoid One
An online loan can make sense for a clear, one-off expense when your income is stable, the payment remains manageable even in a difficult month, and you can review the agreement calmly before signing. A loan from a bank where you have already been identified and receive your income can be particularly convenient: the process is simpler, and the personalized rate may be lower.
Do not use a quick loan to cover a persistent budget shortfall, repay old debt without a full refinancing calculation, or finance speculative investments. If your decision rests only on phrases such as “0%,” “in one minute,” or “passport only,” stop and find the APR and total repayment.
What to Check Before Signing
- your personalized APR, total repayment, and monthly payment;
- fees for disbursement, loan servicing, the account, card, transfer, and cash withdrawal;
- where the funds will be sent: to an account, a card, or directly to the seller;
- the first payment date, repayment method, and cost of using a third-party terminal;
- penalties, the consequences of late payment, and how information will be recorded in your credit history;
- the terms for full and partial early repayment and recalculation of the payment schedule;
- the applicable right of withdrawal: for agreements covered by the Law on Consumer Credit, 7 business days unless the agreement provides a longer period;
- the credit organization’s license, the official domain, and the app publisher.
Online Loans for Non-Residents
Non-residents should not expect to obtain a fully remote unsecured loan. The reviewed products from Byblos, AMIO, and Evocabank specify residency, while VTB and IDBank require Armenian citizenship. The ability to open an account remotely does not provide automatic access to credit.
A non-resident should separately confirm the required period of residence, registration, local income, and tax status. The bank may require a branch visit, ask for collateral, or decline the application. Mortgages and secured loans are a separate segment and are not included in this comparison.
How to Choose the Right Option
Separate cash loans from installment plans, then exclude products that do not fit your amount, term, residency, or age. Compare the remaining options using your personalized APR and total repayment. If the APR exceeds the 15.41–24% range published by the banks in this comparison, check bank alternatives first.
FAQ
Can You Get an Online Loan on Your Phone?
Yes, for fully remote products. With some lenders, only the application or decision is available online. FINCA’s page gives conflicting information about the need for a branch visit, so confirm the application process.
Where Are Microloans Available in Armenia?
They are offered by banks and licensed credit organizations—for example, CashMe and FINCA Mobile Tetev Cash. Farm Credit is a separate POS product. The name does not reveal the cost: compare APR and total repayment.
Are Quick Passport Loans Real?
A quick decision is possible; a passport alone is usually not enough. The lender conducts identification and scoring, and applicants generally also need a public services number or social security card, a phone number, and an email address.
Which Bank Offers the Best Online Loan?
There is no universal leader. Byblos has the lowest base APR in this table—15.41–15.63%—but the minimum amount is AMD 400,000, the maximum term is 48 months, and scoring may result in a higher rate.
Can You Apply to Every Bank at Once?
Technically, yes, but ACRA shows the number of inquiries, and lenders may consider their frequency. First shortlist one or two products, then apply sequentially.
Can You Repay an Online Loan Early?
Under Armenia’s Law on Consumer Credit, early repayment is permitted without a penalty, and the total cost of credit is reduced proportionately. In particular, the law does not apply to agreements exceeding AMD 15 million, so check the individual agreement for amounts above this threshold and for other exceptions.
What Happens If You Miss a Payment?
The lender will charge the contractual penalties and report the information to a credit bureau. Terms vary, so check your individual key terms sheet: even a short delay increases the cost and can make future applications more difficult.
Conclusion
Enter the amount and term you need on AFM, then compare offers using three figures: APR, monthly payment, and total repayment. Shortlist the best two or three options before submitting an application.
Byblos Bank has the lowest starting APR among the reviewed offers, but the approved rate may be different. Before accepting a loan, check the final APR, total repayment, fees, and late-payment penalties. If the terms differ from the offer you compared, return to AFM and check the alternatives.
