The Central Bank of Armenia has announced that the first package of regulatory acts governing the activities of crypto asset service providers will come into force in Armenia on January 31, 2026. The documents were published on January 21, 2026.
Under the new rules, legal entities providing crypto-related services will be required to undergo mandatory registration and licensing with the Central Bank. The regulations also establish requirements for minimum capital, internal policies, and senior management.
Companies and individual entrepreneurs that provided such services prior to the entry into force of the regulations must obtain a license within one year. Otherwise, they will be required to cease operations.
In addition, issuers of crypto assets that previously conducted public offerings must submit a crypto asset offering document to the Central Bank within three months after January 31, 2026, provided that the assets continue to circulate.
