Between April 13 and April 17, 2026, the volume of US dollar transactions on Armenia's interbank foreign exchange market rose sharply, while Russian ruble operations declined.
Market Data Shows:
- Dollar transactions increased 5.1 times
- Ruble operations decreased by 19%
- Euro transactions have been virtually non-existent for about two months
As a result, the dollar has dominated the market once again: its volume exceeded that of the ruble by 3 times, whereas the situation was reversed a week earlier.
Against This Backdrop:
- The Dram strengthened against the Dollar to 372.5 AMD
- Remained stable against the Euro at around 438 AMD
- Weakened slightly against the Ruble to 4.86 AMD
This means that the dollar is strengthening its position in the market, while the Dram exchange rate remains stable with moderate fluctuations. This is important to consider for transfers, purchases, and choosing a currency for savings.
