Money Transfer Inflows to Armenia Rose to $5.98 Billion in 2025

In 2025, the volume of money transfers to Armenia increased. Based on the results of January–December, the total inflow of funds into the country amounted to $5.98 billion, with approximately 65% of all transfers originating from Russia.
According to Central Bank of Armenia data, the net inflow of private transfers in 2025 increased by 8.6%, exceeding $1.6 billion. For comparison, this indicator recorded a 9% decline in 2024.
The annual dynamics for non-commercial transfers changed even more significantly: after a 35% drop in 2024, a 25% growth was recorded in 2025, and their net volume reached $714.1 million. The share of such transfers in the total net inflow grew from 38% to 44%, although it remains below the levels seen in 2022–2023.
General Dynamics of Flows։
- Transfer inflows increased by 2.4% over the year.
- Outflows slowed down from a 7% growth rate to a near-zero level of 0.3%.
As a result, for 2025:
- Total inflow amounted to $5.98 billion, including $1.2 billion in non-commercial transfers;
- Total outflow amounted to $4.3 billion, of which $452.8 million was attributed to non-commercial operations.
Notably, non-commercial transfer inflows shifted from a 23% decline to 15% growth, while the growth rate of outflows accelerated from 1% to 3%.
In 2025, $3.9 billion was transferred from Russia to Armenia, while the outflow of funds in the opposite direction totaled $749.9 million.
