From April 1, 2026, a new procedure for paying state benefits and pensions takes effect in Armenia: funds will be transferred exclusively in non-cash form to bank cards.
For recipients who did not submit an application or select a bank by March 5, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs will perform an automatic distribution among several banks, including ACBA, AraratBank, Artsakhbank, and Armeconombank.
By April 1, banks are organizing the delivery of pension cards to citizens with limited mobility via couriers, allowing them to receive their cards while staying at home.
Between March 5 and April 1, the Unified Social Service will not accept new applications to change the bank or payment method.
