New Housing Program for Displaced Persons from Artsakh to Launch in Armenia

Starting July 1, Armenia will launch a new state support program for forcibly displaced persons from Nagorno-Karabakh who do not qualify for current housing purchase schemes.
Under this initiative, the state will provide 40,000 AMD per month (approximately $100) for each family member. These payments are scheduled for a 10-year term and are intended to cover rental housing costs.
Simultaneously, these families will be placed on a waiting list for social housing, which will be provided as construction progresses.
As a result, the program combines short-term assistance (rent) with long-term solutions (social housing), partially addressing the needs of families previously excluded from state housing aid mechanisms.
The AFM team will continue to monitor the implementation details, including eligibility criteria, registration procedures, and housing delivery timelines.
