Every day, the Central Bank of Armenia publishes the official Armenian dram to euro exchange rate. These figures are used in customs settlements, accounting, and official contracts.

The Central Bank rate is a benchmark, not the actual exchange price. However, it shows the bigger picture: whether the dram is strengthening against the euro or, on the contrary, depreciating.

Since 1993, when the dram became Armenia’s national currency, its rate against the euro (and earlier, the German mark) has changed dozens of times. Today’s relative stability of the dram is largely supported by the Central Bank’s policies and by remittances from abroad, which make up a significant share of the country’s foreign currency inflows.
